Quick Start
- Open Apple Music or Spotify
- Play any song
- lyricly will automatically detect the track and display synced lyrics
Common Questions
lyricly is not showing lyrics
Please check:
- Apple Music or Spotify is open
- A song is currently playing
- The track has available synced lyrics
- lyricly has permission to run normally on macOS
Try:
- Pause and replay the song
- Reopen lyricly
- Reopen Apple Music or Spotify
Lyrics are not synced
Some tracks may have missing or incomplete lyric timing.
Try:
- Switching tracks
- Re-matching the current song from the menu bar
- Updating to the latest version of lyricly
Your music app is not detected
Please make sure:
- Apple Music or Spotify is installed and running
- Playback is active
- macOS is up to date
Then restart lyricly and try again.
The app is not appearing on desktop
Check the lyric display settings in the menu bar and confirm:
- Desktop Floating Lyrics is enabled
- The current display mode is active
- Lyrics are not hidden
How do I switch lyric modes?
Open lyricly from the menu bar and switch between:
- Desktop Floating Lyrics
- Menu Bar Lyrics
- Compact Mode
